Krystal Marie Ball
Krystal Marie Balm (born on the 24th of November, 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was a former candidate for the US Senate as well as a television presenter at MSNBC. She was also frequently a contributor to The Huffington Post and co-host of The Hill’s Rising together with Saagar Enti. Enjeti and Ball have announced that they will quit the show in May 2021 to start Breaking Points, a new independent venture with Krystal as well as Saagar. Ball is a cohost of the show Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has made guest appearances on various networks, including CNN, CNBC, Fox News and programs including Real Time with Bill Maher. As of the year 2020, Ball is married to Jonathan Dariyanani. Ball is able to attribute her interest in politics to being the mother of 2008's primary elections. Also, she watched the US election outcome while living in Jordan. She saw the effects the election had on the residents of her home country and was inspired to appreciate the international influence of US politics. She was a Senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party's candidate for Congress in Virginia's 1st congressional District in 2010. She lost to Rob Wittman, the Republican incumbent. From June 2012 until July 2015, she was co-host of The Cycle on MSNBC. She founded the People's House Project in May 2017 to help Democratic causes.
